Sri Lanka ‘A’ continued their unbeaten run in the One Day Tri-Series in Abu Dhabi as they beat Afghanistan ‘A’ by 4 wickets to register their fourth consecutive win of the tournament.
Having been asked to bat first, Afghanistan ‘A’ managed to post 228 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. The skipper Darwish Rasooli was the chief run-getter for Afghanistan as he made vital 76 runs in the middle order.

For Sri Lanka ‘A’, the ambidextrous spinner Tharindu Rathnayake was the pick of the bowlers as he grabbed 4 wickets for 45 runs.
Sri Lanka ‘A’ reached the target in 39 overs with 4 wickets in hand. The opening batter Kamil Mishara and the skipper Nuwanidu Fernando struck fine half-centuries to set the tone in run-chase.
Mishara and Fernando added a match defining 110-run stand for the second wicket before Pavan Rathnayake provided the finishing touches with a quick-fire 46 off 41 balls with 5 fours and a six.
