Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club managed to take upper hand against Nondescripts Cricket Club on Day 2 of the final of SLC Major Clubs 3-Day Tournament 2024/25 played today (6th March) R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Bloomfield skipper Nipun Karunanayake won the toss and opted to bat first and the decision turned out to be gold as they managed to put on a mammoth total – 508 on the board for their first innings.

The opening batter Ron Chandraguptha stole the limelight with a magnificent double century for Bloomfield C & AC. He struck 237 runs off 493 balls with 20 fours and a six.
Asitha Wanninayake (96), Lahiru Madushanka (55) and Hasitha Boyagoda (52) also chipped in with useful half-centuries.

The speedster Lahiru Kumara was the pick of the bowlers for NCC as he grabbed 6 wickets for 87 runs. Match will continue tomorrow for Day 3.
