Trinity College, Kandy and Devapathiraja College, Rathgama qualified for the Semi Finals of Under 19 Division 1 Limited Overs Cricket Tournament 2024/25.

Trinity College registered a thrilling win over Nalanda College in a Tier A Quarter Final encounter played today at Nalanda College Grounds, Colombo.

After been asked to bat first, Nalanda College posted 194 runs on the back of a brilliant century made by Manupa Manmitha. He struck 101 runs off 108 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes at a strike rate of 93.52.

The boys from Kandy also had a difficult time with the bat, but managed to cross over the line at the end with 3 wickets in hand.

Devapathiraja College got the better of St. Thomas’ College in a Tier B Quarter Final encounter worked off today at Monaragala District Cricket Grounds.

Having been asked to bat first, the Rathgama boys managed to post 162 runs in 40.3 overs. Pesandu Sanjan was the star performer with the ball for the Thomians as he scalped 5 wickets for 22 runs.

In their turn with the ball, Devapathiraja College produced a disciplined bowling effort to restrict their opposition for just 130 runs, snatching a 32-run win. Darshaka Sandeep stood out with the ball for Devapathiraja College, claiming 4 wickets for 21 runs.
