The group stage of the SLSCA Under 19 Division 1 Inter-Schools Two Day Tournament 2024/25 concluded, with 16 teams qualifying for the knock-out stage (8 teams each from Tier A & Tier B).
Mahanama College, St. Joseph’s College, S. Thomas’ College and St. Anthony’s College who finished in the top 4 in Group A qualified for the quarter finals from Tier ‘A’ segment.

St. Sebastian’s College, Royal College, St. Peter’s College and Trinity College who grabbed first 4 places in Group B also earned qualification for the quarter finals from Tier A segment.
In the Tier B segment, Isipathana College, Sri Sumangala College, De Mazenod College and Devapathiraja College qualified for the quarter finals from Group A.
St. Thomas’ College, Thurstan College, Mahinda College and St. Anne’s College also secured their places in the quarter finals from Group B.

Interestingly, arch-rivals Royal College and S. Thomas’ College are set to meet in one of the quarter final fixtures in the Tier A segment.
Royal-Thomian encounter is not the only Big Match rivals meeting in the quarter finals as St. Joseph’s College are set to clash against their Battle of the Saints’ opponent St. Peter’s College in the quarter finals.
