Warwickshire Cricket Club has signed Sri Lankan left-arm seamer Vishwa Fernando for the start of their County Championship campaign in 2025.
Fernando will be available for Warwickshire’s Division One games in April this year. He represented Yorkshire Cricket Club last summer where he managed to claim 17 wickets in 3 matches.
Fernando could make his debut for Warwickshire in their season opener against Sussex which will begin on the 4th April. He will be also available for the club’s fixtures against Durham and Nottinghamshire in the same month.

“I am thrilled to be joining Warwickshire for the early stages of the season. Playing county cricket has been hugely enjoyable for me over the last two years. The county have some very good cricketers and I am looking forward to playing with Alex Davies, Ed Barnard and all the boys.” Fernando said.
