The left-arm spinner Malinda Pushpakumara claimed a match bag of 13 wickets helping Burgher Recreation Club register an innings win over Sinhalese Sports Club.
After restricting SSC for just 116 runs in the first innings thanks to Pushpakumara’s 7-wicket haul, BRC put on a solid first innings total on the board courtesy of centuries made by Roshane Silva and Movin Subasinghe.

In the second innings also, SSC faltered with the bat as Pushpakumara once again ran through their batting lineup, claiming 6 wickets. He registered a match bag of 13 wickets for 98 runs.

Meanwhile, Colts Cricket Club and Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club emerged victorious today as they registered wins over Badureliya Sports Club and Kandy Customs Sports Club respectively.
Tharindu Rathnayake played a pivotal role with the ball in Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club’s victory, picking up a match bag of 13 wickets.
Angelo Perera (Nugegoda S & WC) and Kasun Abeyratne (Bloomfield C & AC) were the only centurions of the day as they made 120* and 115 runs against NCC and Negombo CC respectively.
