Ladies’ College will host Musaeus College on Saturday (5th) from 1 p.m. onwards in the 19th Marie Musaeus Higgins Trophy LC-MC Regatta at the Colombo Rowing Club. The Beira waters are set for a super Saturday showdown in the foremost girls’ rowing rivalry in the country.
Last year, Ladies’ College clinched the trophy, defeating Musaeus College 39-13 at the 18th LC-MC Regatta.
This year’s chief guest will be former Ladies’ College Rowing Captain, Ishara Abbey.
The LC-MC regatta will feature various boat classes, including single sculls, double sculls, coxless pairs, and coxed fours. The races will be based on points, with the overall tally adding up to 52. There will be two races per boat class (‘A’ and ‘B’ crews) and additional exhibition events such as the ‘Under-16 Four’, ‘C Four’, and an Old Girls’ race.
