Sri Lanka set to host CAVA U20 Men’s Volleyball Championship from 6th October

The Central Asian Under 20 Men’s Volleyball Championship 2024 is set to take place from the 6^th to the 12^th of October 2024 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Sri Lanka.

This prestigious tournament will bring together young volleyball talents from various countries in the Central Asian region. Teams from Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Nepal, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka will compete, with the tournament witnessing intense competition among these nations to secure the championship.

This championship will be a great opportunity for Sri Lankan volleyball players to showcase their skills on an international stage. It will also help strengthen ties with Central Asian countries through sports diplomacy. The champions and runners-up of this tournament will qualify to participate in the 2025 Asian Under-20 Men’s Volleyball Championship.

The top teams that excel in the tournament will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals based on their performance. In addition to the team titles, individual awards will be given in categories such as Most Valuable Player, Best Outside Spiker, Best Middle Blocker, Best Opposite, Best Setter, and Best Libero.

The finals of the tournament will be broadcast live on ThePapare TV HD (Dialog TV Ch.126), Sri Lanka’s No. 1 Sports Channel, on the 12th of October.
