This year’s event promises to be a premier sports highlight, featuring teams from various mercantile sectors battling fiercely for the coveted title. With anticipation building, team managers and captains are encouraged to attend an important meeting in early September to finalize tournament details. The tournament draw taking place on September 24.
Teams will compete in two categories:
- Cup Category: 6 teams (split into 2 groups of 3) will compete, advancing to the Cup Semifinals, with Plate and Bowl finals.
- Shield Category: 16 teams (split into 4 groups of 4) will compete, advancing to the Quarterfinals and Finals.
Mastercard returns as the title sponsor for the second consecutive year, emphasizing its continued support for this significant event on the local sports calendar. All eyes will be on reigning champions 3DH International, who claimed a decisive victory over the John Keells Group in last year’s final. After narrowly missing the title the previous year, 3DH International’s win was a moment of redemption.
