Golden Birds Sports Club Radawana and MAS Sports Club, Ampara clinched the Men’s and Women’s titles respectively at the Dialog President’s Gold Cup Volleyball Tournament took place part of the Sri Lanka Sports Fiesta 2024 at the Air Force indoor stadium in Colombo 7.
In the Men’s final, Golden Birds Sports Club defeated Rajasinghe Sports Club, Ruwanwella in straight three sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-11).
United Sports Club, Nattandiya and Aruna Sports Club, Walasmulla won the 2nd runner up and 4th place in the Men’s category.
Dulanjan Sandeepa of Golden Birds Sports Club won the most valuable player in Men’s category.
In the Women’s final, MAS Sports Club beat Hidramani Sports Club, Galigamuwa 3-1, with the scores reading 19-25, 25-22, 25-11 and 25-23.
Sulakshana Pasinduni of MAS Sports Club won the most valuable player in Women’s category.
