Paris Olympics 2024

120

Sri Lanka’s Javelin champion Nadeesha Lekamge was the final person to represent the country in their Olympic Team, in her event, the Javelin throw.

She recorded 53.66 Meters in her first attempt, which is her best throw out of the three attempts. As she failed to qualify for the Finals, she only had 3 attempts to prove herself on Wednesday (7th August) at State de France.

She placed 16th in Round A of the Women’s Javelin Throw. We are proud of her achievement and wish her all the best as she continues in this challenging world of track and field.

With Lekamge’s end of her Olympic journey, it wraps up the journey for the Sri Lankan team in the Paris Olympics 2024. They have brought pride to the country by reaching the heights that they did.
