St. Joseph’s hosting Wesley
Given their current form, Wesley come in as clear cut favorties, however, a win for either team would mean they finish 3rd on the table, given the fact that St. Peter’s defeat Vidyartha!
St. Joseph’s have had a stop-start season following their shock defeat to Vidyartha on the opening day of the season. That defeat meant the Josephians took time to get off the mark, knocking them down mentally.
SJC and WC were both defeated by SPC and RC with identical score lines, however, it’s time to put their defeats behind them as they step up to the task of taking on each other in what promises to be an electrifying encounter given their form in the past weeks.
Prediction: St. Joseph’s to edge Wesley by 5 points or less

Given the result on Saturday between Trinity and Dharmaraja, the Thomians’ will know that they have to better the result if they are to make it through to the Super Round!
Isipathana vs S. Thomas’
Win or lose, Isipathana go through, but we are all aware of the hunger the lads from Park Road have to win.
Winning is in their DNA and a defeat at this moment could even cost them the chance of adding to their illustrious history!
For the Thomians on the other hand, this is a golden opportunity for them to make progress through to the super round.
The lads from Mount bounced back after their opening day defeat to TCK, winning the rest of their fixtures, and now setting up a mouth-watering week 8 clash with Isipathana at Havelock Park.
Playing at the Park will pose a different sort of test, as they will not only be taking on Isipathana but their supportive spectators as well.
If STC are to dismantle the Green Machine, they will need to exploit hole in the IC back line and will have to put early pressure, but they will also require an 70-minute performance to topple the Pathana lads.
The stakes are high and the winner could very well find themselves in pole position in this group.
Prediction: Isipathana to win by 8-points or more

Sunday’s other fixtures see Vidyartha hosting the mighty St. Peter’s at Nittawela and a dead rubber between struggling Sri Sumangala and St. Anthony’s.
Vidyartha will have their work cut out if they are to topple the Peterite outfit. The Bamba Brigade looks in sublime form and are in prime position to do all the way!
