This landmark sponsorship, announced on July 19, 2024, promises to elevate Sri Lankan combat sports to new heights. Kumari is the first combat sportswoman outside of boxing to receive a brand ambassadorship.

Today’s press conference was a celebration of a milestone in this mission, highlighted by the announcement of Nimesha Kumari’s sponsorship. The panel at the press conference included Ilham Hossen, the Co-Founder/Creative Producer of KFL; Dayan Samasekara, the Director of Combat Sports of KFL; Shyam Impett, the Director of PR & Communication; Dimantha Jayawardena, the Chairman of Asian Security Group; Mr. Jamitha Gayan, Nimesha’s coach; and the star of the evening and sponsored athlete, Nimesha Kumari. The Asian Security Group’s sponsorship will provide Kumari with a professional stipend and funds for nutrition, training, trainer’s fees, and medical coverage. This comprehensive support is unprecedented in Sri Lankan martial arts and marks a significant milestone in Kumari’s journey as a professional fighter.

Karma Fighting League, commonly known as KFL, is a fighting league that provides Sri Lankan audiences with a novel and exhilarating viewing experience that rivals international martial arts tournaments. Born from the vision of a young, ambitious, and daring creative team, KFL’s greater mission is to bring Sri Lankan martial artists to the international stage by providing them with an experience of international standards. KFL has worked to produce professional fighters and give them the financial value they have not received until now.

KFL’s third instalment is happening on the 27th of July 2024, where Kumari will fight for the 3rd time, facing Nafiza Naim of India, in an epic showdown. We invite all fight enthusiasts to join us at Taprobane on July 27th for an unforgettable evening of world-class combat sports between 2 countries.
