Colombo Strikers registered a comfortable win over Galle Marvels in the 19th match of Lanka Premier League 2024 played today (15th July) at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
After been put into bat first, Galle Marvels posted 138 runs on the board with the major contributions from Tim Seifert (44) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (35).

The speedster Matheesha Pathirana was outstanding with the ball for Strikers as he snared 4 wickets for 20 runs. The spinners Shadab Khan and Dunith Wellalage also starred with the ball, claiming 2 wickets each.
Colombo Strikers chased down the target quite easily as they crossed over the line in the 19th over with 7 wickets in hand. Strikers’ No. 3 batter Muhammad Waseem stroked a vital half-century while Glenn Phillips contributed with useful 31 runs.

With this win, Colombo Strikers registered their fourth win of the season and managed to secure a place in the playoffs.
