The 49th Annual Sri Lanka Schools All Island Age Group Aquatic Championships 2024

As the 49th Annual Sri Lanka Schools All Island Age Group Aquatic Championships 2024 powered by Nestle Milo and organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Aquatic Sports Association came to an end last evening at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex, the giants of schools swimming; St. Josephs’s College took the championship back to Darley Road for the 19th consecutive year with 449 total points.

Ladies’ College swimming took over the overall swimming girls championship after 24 years with a total of 397.5 points. Anandians and Mahamaya Kandy swimmers finished as runners-up in the boys and girls categories with 334.5 and 333 total points respectively.

Lyceum International School- Wattala dominated the mixed team category continuing the winning streak with 518.5 points while Lyceum International School- Gampaha finished 2nd in line with 309 points.

In addition, 8 individual age group champions were recognized at the closing ceremony.

Under 14

  • Girls Champion – Rushalee Dissanayake from Musaeus College
  • Boys Champion – Dulaksha Ganidu from Lyceum International School, Gampaha

Under 16

  • Girls Champion – Vandani Fernando from Kaluthara Balika Vidyalaya
  • Boys Champion – Okitha Gunasekara from Elizabeth Moir International School

Under 18

  • Girls Champion – Jessie Senevirathne from Holy Family Convent
  • Boys Champion – M.F. Muhammed from Zahira College

Under 20

  • Girls Champion – Nawanjana Senevirathne from Lyceum International School, Wattala
  • Boys Champion – Chris Pavithra from St. Peter’s College

The overall diving championships were won by Royal College and Bishop’s College.
