Sri Lanka ‘A’ beat Afghanistan ‘A’ by an innings & 26 runs to clinch the one-off four day encounter played at P. Sara Oval Grounds, Colombo.  

Afghanistan ‘A’ resumed their second innings in the fourth and final day on a solid position at 108/2 with 129 runs behind with 8 wickets in hand, but a batting collapse saw them being bowled out for 211 runs, handing an innings win for the hosts. 

The visitors lost 8 wickets for just 103 runs in the morning session on Day 4. The speedster Nisala Tharaka was the standout performer with the ball for Sri Lanka ‘A’ as he scalped 6 wickets for 42 runs.
