S.Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia crowned champions of the T20 Triangular Cricket Tournament played for the Anura Tennekoon Trophy as part of the Centenary Celebrations of the Big Club Grounds at S. Thomas’ College.
Royal College qualified to final defeating Trinity College by 7 wickets in the 3rd game of the tournament held in the morning session today.

After restricting Trinity College to just 67 runs courtesy of brilliant collective bowling effort, Royal College cruised to the target in just 12.4 overs losing only 3 wickets.
S. Thomas’ College which dominated the tournament winning both games played yesterday, continued their unbeaten run registering a convincing win over Royal College in the final.
Batting first, the visitors posted only 91/9 in the allotted 20 overs as Shalin Perera produced an impressive bowling performance – 3/11 for S. Thomas’ College.

The hosts chased down the target of 92 quite convincingly losing only 3 wickets as Dineth Goonewardene and Avinash Fernando played vital knocks in the successful run-chase for them.
