Team Dambulla posted a solid first innings total against Team Kandy in their encounter that commenced today at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.

Batting first, Dambulla made 311 runs for their first innings courtesy of half-centuries from Sonal Dinusha (82) and Kamindu Mendis (73). The left-arm spinner Wanuja Sahan bowled a brilliant spell, snaring 6 wickets for 70 runs for Team Kandy.
