Ayesha Perera and Charani Liyanage are the first two women who are set to be involved in a Men’s top division match, as the two current National Players will be on the sidelines as Assistant Referee for this weekend’s Club Rugby Encounters.
Ayesha will be on the sidelines for the game between CH & FC vs Air Force Sports Club at Racecourse, while her counterpart will be at the Navy vs CR & FC game at Welisara.
This will be a landmark occasion for the two ladies as their names will go down in history books.
Both games are set to be held on the 6th of January 2024 and will be telecast Live and Exclusive on ThePapare.com
