The second unofficial Youth Test between Sri Lanka Emerging Team and Bangladesh Emerging Team commenced today (31st October) at Dambulla.
Sri Lanka Skipper Sonal Dinusha won the toss and invited Bangladesh to take the first lease of the wicket.
The decision turned out to be gold for the hosts as opening bowler Chamika Gunasekara struck early to put Bangladesh onto the backfoot.

Gunasekara produced a five-wicket burst with the new ball, leaving the visitors struggling at 54/5 at the end of the first 10 overs.
But, Akbar Ali and Rakibul Hasan gave the impetus to the innings, adding a 94-run stand for the sixth wicket before Gunasekara struck again to dismiss the latter for 36 runs as his 6th scalp of the day. Gunasekara had a memorable day with the ball as he claimed 6 wickets for just 27 runs in his 11-over spell.

The umpires had to force early stumps on Day 1 as rain interrupted the play. Bangladesh were stuttering at 153/6 at the close of play.
