Sri Lanka made it two in two on the second day of the Central Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship (CAVA) 2023, held yesterday at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Sri Lanka and Afghanistan sealed their respective second wins of the competition after Uzbekistan registered their first win.
The hosts, Sri Lanka took on Bangladesh in the second game of the day, where they secured another 3-0 win to remain unbeaten in the tournament. The first set was too close (26-24), but the islanders made it easily in the next two sets, winning by 25-18 and 25-16, comprehensively.

In the first match of the day, Uzbekistan players were able to secure a 3-0 victory over Saudi Arabia with the scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-23.
Afghanistan played the final match of the second day against Bangladesh, securing a commanding 3-0 win as they, too, remained undefeated.
