Gateway College defeated Ladies’ College 33-14 in their inaugural netball encounter for the Nirmali Wickremesinghe Challenge Trophy at the Navy Indoor Complex, Welisara.
The 1st quarter was a close one, with Gateway leading 8-6. Gateway went into halftime leading 17-10 after winning the 2nd quarter 9-4. Gateway dominated the 3rd quarter, scoring 11 points and gave away only 4 (28-14). In the 4th quarter, Gateway shut down Ladies’ not conceding any goals as it ended 33-14.

In the exhibition match, Gateway College Kandy defeated Anula Vidyalaya 14-12.
