Sri Lanka bounced back from their heavy defeat to Singapore to defeat Chinese Taipei 83-17 in their final Group B game in the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2023 at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in South Korea.
Sri Lanka who lost 29-51 to Singapore yesterday (14th June) came into the game needing a win to book a place in the championship semi-final. They stamped their authority in the 1st quarter with a 23-2 lead. They did the same in the 2nd quarter (25-4) and went into half time leading 48-6.

The 3rd and 4th quarters were much the same as Sri Lanka won 18-2 & 17-9 respectively. In the scoring department Dilmi Wijenayake top scored for Sri Lanka with 38-points from 45 attempts (84%) while Bhashi Udagedara had a 96% record scoring 23 from 24.
Sajini Rathnayake scored 12/18 at 67% and Minagee Kankanige added 10 from 11 attempts at 91% shooting percentage.
