Sri Lanka were routed 29-51 in their Group B game by the strong Singapore team in the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2023 at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in South Korea.
Sri Lanka were only down by 3-points at the end of the 1st quarter (8-11). However, they were unable close the gap and it increased to 8-points at half time. Half time score was 13-21 (5-10).

The Sri Lankan girls were unable to match the pace of the Singaporeans as they dominated the 3rd and 4th quarters. The 3rd quarter was 9-15 & the 4th quarter was 7-15.
Dilmi Wijenayake top scored for Sri Lanka with 16-points from 20 attempts (80%), while Sajini Rathnayake added 9/13 from 69%. Bhashi Udagedara had a 100% record scoring 4 from 4.
