A total of 355 cricketers are set to go under the hammer in the inaugural LPL player auction which will be held on the 14th of June at Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.
As per the player auction list accessed by ThePapare, 202 Sri Lankans will go under the hammer at the auction. The remaining 153 players in the list comprise overseas cricketers.
In terms of the country-wise breakdown of the 153 overseas players, the maximum number of players have come from Pakistan (34). In addition, 24 Australians, 24 Bangladeshis, 17 West Indians and 10 South Africans make up the majority of the list.

Tami Iqbal (Bangladesh), Chris Lynn (Australia), Evin Lewis (West Indies), Lendl Simmons (West Indies), Imad Wasim (Pakistan), Tim Seifert (New Zealand), Rassie Van Der Dussen (South Africa), Imran Tahir (South Africa), Ish Sodhi (New Zealand), Noor Ahmed (Afghanistan) are some of the top players who will be available for the auction on Wednesday.
Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has also placed his name in the player list with a base price of US$ 50,000. The 36-year-old World Cup-winning middle-order batter has represented India in 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is.
Renowned Indian commentator, compere and quizmaster, Charu Sharma will work as the auctioneer for the LPL auction which will be held next week.
