Sri Lanka’s leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is expected to feature in the ODI series against Afghanistan following an injury scare last week.
Wanindu Hasaranaga who suffered an injury during the ongoing Indian Premier League, has been added to the Sri Lankan squad as he is expected to recover from the injury to take part in the Afghanistan ODIs.
Hasaranga is currently in rehab for an injury on his heel and may feature in one or two games during the series but the selectors want him to be fit for the Qualifiers.
Hasaranga has been a regular feature in Sri Lankan white-ball squads over the last couple of years and carried a huge workload as the premier spinner in the team. Keeping that in mind, the selectors have decided to lay out a program to manage his workload in order to keep him fit and get the best out of him.
The 16-member Sri Lanka squad will leave for Hambanthota on the 29th of May.
