Revised schedule confirmed for England Women’s white-ball series against Sri Lanka

Following a request from Sri Lanka Cricket due to the confirmation of the women’s cricket tournament at the 2023 Asian Games, the England & Wales Cricket Board have mutually agreed to a schedule change to the England Women’s white-ball home series against Sri Lanka planned for September.

The series will commence with three Vitality T20Is on Thursday 31 August at The 1st Central County Ground, Hove. Hove has moved from hosting an ODI on Sunday 17 September, to an T20I on Thursday 31 August, starting at 6.00pm.

The remaining T20Is are at The Cloud County Ground, Chelmsford, on Saturday 2 September and The Incora County Ground, Derby, on Wednesday 6 September.

The three-match ODI series will commence at the Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street, Durham, on Saturday 9 September. Durham originally had an T20I scheduled.

Northamptonshire’s County Ground will host the second ODI on Tuesday 12 September.

The third ODI will take place at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicestershire, on Thursday 14 September.

The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury, which was due to stage an ODI in the original schedule, will no longer host a match in this series.

The Asian Games are scheduled in Hangzhou, China from 23 September 23 to 8 October.
