Maliyadeva College secured their 13th win in the 25th Battle of the Rocks One Day Encounter defeating St. Anne’s College today (26th March) at Welagedara Stadium in Kurunegala.
Isipathana College win the 16th T20 encounter in a low-scoring thriller
After deciding to bat first, Pasindu Menaka and skipper Amesh Thennakoon set the platform for the Devans with an 86-run partnership for the 2nd wicket, however they were bowled out for 214. Skipper, Thennakoon was their top scorer with 51 runs while Gayana Weerasinghe and Pasindu Menaka made 41 and 40, respectively.

Chasing 215 to win, the Annites threw their wickets away and were bowled out for only 110 runs. In the bowling department, Dimath Abeysinghe was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 7-2-13-4 while Charuka Herath also bagged 2/9 in 6.3 overs including 2 maidens too.
Maliyadeva beat St. Anne’s by a huge margin of 104 runs to register their first win since 2017.
