Two matches of Prima U15 Sri Lanka Youth League organized by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) worked off today (24th November) in Rathmalana and Colombo.

Galle registered an 8-wicket win over Dambulla in the 5th match of the tournament played today at Irrigation Grounds in Rathmalana. Samiru Gimhan displayed a brilliant bowling performance (5/17) to restrict Dambulla to just 94 runs.
Galle got off to a shaky start in their reply with the bat losing the opening batters for just 11 runs but Viran Chamuditha (44*) and Risinu Geenuka (36*) built an unbeaten partnership of 86 runs for the 3rd wicket guiding the Southern boys to a convincing victory.
Colombo North also recorded a convincing win in their encounter against Colombo South worked off today at MCA Grounds in Colombo. After winning the toss, Colombo South opted to bat first but posted only 101 runs in 36.5 overs.
Lashen Fernando who made 52 runs off 87 balls with 5 fours was the lone fighter with the bat for Colombo South. Kithma Sithmal (3/06) and Osanda Pamuditha (2/06) bowled brilliantly sharing 5 wickets between them for Colombo North.

Colombo North chased down the target of 102 runs quite comprehensively in the 26th over with 8 wickets in hand. This was the Colombo North team’s 2nd win in the tournament.
