Sri Lanka Cricket provided ‘Mattings’ to 10 schools and eight cricket clubs in the Nuwaraeliya District.
The distribution took place recently in Nuwara Eliya with the participation of the member of parliament, the Honorable C.B. Ratnayake, who is also the President of the Nuwaraeliya District Cricket Association.

Mr. Chandana Lal Karunaratne; the Mayor of the Nuwaraeliya Municipal Council; Deputy Inspector General of Police H.S.N. Pieris; and Senior Superintendent of Police Buddhi U. Udugamasuriya were also present on the occasion.
The distribution took place under the guidance of the SLC President, Mr. Shammi Silva, and the Executive Committee of the SLC, which focuses on developing cricket across the country as part of the National Pathway Program of the SLC.
