Sri Lanka Skipper Chamari Athapaththu has been signed by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the 1st edition of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League, that will be held from the 31st of August to the 1st of September.
Athapaththu is one of just three Sri Lankan women to have featured in a franchise league (alongside Shashikala Siriwardene and Udeshika Prabodhani) and is the only one to have featured in multiple, having made appearances in the Kia Super League, Women’s Big Bash League, Women’s IPL and the FairBreak Invitational.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors are set to be led by former Windies Captain Stafanie Taylor.
