The 48th Josephian-Peterite Limited Overs Cricket encounter will take place tomorrow, the 06th of August for the Rev. Fr Peter. A. Pillai Memorial Trophy at the Sinhalese Sports Club Grounds.
This year, both teams are captained by two extremely talented all-rounders in Shevon Daniel for St. Joseph’s College and Wanuja Sahan for St. Peter’s College, both of whom have represented Sri Lanka at the Under 19 level.
Joes lead the head-to-head tally between the two teams with 24 wins and Peterites trail by 4 wins with a total of 20. So far only 1 game has ended as a tie and two have ended without a result.
The last time the annual limited overs encounter took place was back in 2021 and St. Joseph’s College walked out victorious by 85 runs. Peterites tasted victory for the last time in 2017 after winning by 54 runs.
