However, Silva has decided not to participate in the World Championships, because she has already made plans to go to Turkey where she will be making her final preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Games which are scheduled to be held in Birmingham, England from 28 July to 8 August 2022.

Silva is one of the medal hopes for Sri Lanka in Birmingham as she is within the top 10 best performers out of the Commonwealth countries this season.
