The rain continued to play spoilsport as the warmup game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Board XI ended in a draw today (11th May) at BKSP Ground-3 in Dhaka.
Sri Lanka resumed their first innings on day two at 14/1 as the overnight batters Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis continued to pile on the runs.
The duo added 36 runs on second day before the rain came in to wash out the rest of the day. Fernando (26*) and Mendis (22*) who got starts to their innings, looked good in their short stays at the crease.
The first Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will commence on the 15th of May at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
