De S. Kularathne College, Ambalangoda and Taxila Central College were declared joint champions of the SLSCA U19 Division 2 Tier ‘B” Cricket Tournament.
The final encounter between P. De S. Kularathne College and Taxila Central College was scheduled to be played today (10th April) at BRC Grounds, but due to heavy rain the match was called off without a ball being bowled. As a result, both teams were declared joint champions according to tournament conditions.
Thilak Watthuhewa, President of Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and principal of Nalanda College, Colombo, Oshara Panditharathne, Senior Deputy President and principal of Isipathana College, Colombo and Jagath Senaratne, Vice President of SLSCA and principal of P. De S. Kularathne College, Ambalangoda participated to the awards ceremony.
Both teams received cash prices worth Rs. 162,500 each which was sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
