Anton Roux appointed as Sri Lanka fielding coach

Former South African first class cricketer Anton Roux has been appointed as fielding coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team.

Roux who worked as Nottinghamshire Pathway Coach previously has departed Trent Bridge in order to join the Sri Lankan set up.

Roux had previously worked as the Head Coach of Netherlands, Assistant Coach of New Zealand ‘A’ and New Zealand domestic team Otago.

“The opportunity in Sri Lanka is a great new challenge and a chance for my family and I to experience something new. Every player and coach dreams of working at the highest level and I can’t wait to get stuck into helping such a proud cricketing nation compete on the international stage.” Roux quoted in a statement released by Nottinghamshire.
