The left-handed duo Sahan Arachchige and Nipun Dananjaya lit up the National Super League 4-day tournament today (04th March) as they stroked fine centuries representing Colombo and Kandy respectively.
Dambulla vs Colombo
After being 46/0 at stumps on day one, Colombo dominated the second day’s play against Dambulla as they posted 381/5 at the close of play on day two.

The 21-year old Dananjaya, one of the overnight batters, remained unbeaten on 24, and went onto stroke his maiden first-class century scoring 114 runs off 173 balls with 10 fours.
The middle order batters Ashen Bandara (85*) and Roshen Silva (57) also contributed well with the bat, scoring fine half-centuries for Colombo.

Kandy vs Jaffna
Kandy continued their domination with the bat against Jaffna as they posted a mammoth 503/9 before declaring the innings in the 136th over.
The off-spinning all-rounder Sahan Arachchige’s brilliant century was the highlight of the second day’s play in the encounter between Kandy and Jaffna.
Arachchige had a great outing with the bat today as he stroked 162 runs off 257 balls with 23 fours, which was ultimately his highest score in first-class Cricket.
