Five traditional encounters of the U19 Division 1 Schools Cricket tournament were worked off over the weekend (12/13).
Mahanama College took the honors against Thurstan College in their drawn traditional encounter worked off at the Thurstan College Grounds in Colombo. Kavindu Amameth (81) and Devindu Kekirideniya (5/89 & 2/14) stood out with bat and ball for Mahanama College.
Sri Lanka U19 cap Chamindu Wickramasinghe starred with the bat scoring an unbeaten century for St. Anthony’s College in their traditional encounter against Isipathana College.
Trinity College’s Akram Muthalib was the star performer in their traditional encounter against Prince of Wales College as he stood out with a stunning century (162). Another century maker was witnessed in the traditional encounter between Ananda College and St. Peter’s College where Iruth Gimshan top scored for Ananda College with a brilliant 113 runs.
