Sri Lanka white ball vice-captain Dhananjaya De Silva has pulled out of the 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe due to personal reasons.
De Silva has made a request to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to sit out the series which is set to begin on the 16th of January, as he and his wife Sanduni welcomed the birth of their 1st born over the weekend.

SLC has accepted De Silva’s request and the selectors are likely to name Kamindu Mendis as a like-for-like replacement for De Silva.
The 3 match ODI series, which is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
