St. Peter’s College- Bambalapitiya, a dominant force in the school’s Rugby arena, is gearing up to make an instant impact with School’s Rugby set to make a comeback after a long hiatus.
A jersey handover ceremony was held at the college premises on Friday (10th) with Rev. Fr Rohitha Rodrigo, Rector of St. Peter’s College, presenting the playing kits to the squad and the coaching staff in the presence of officials of The Rugby Foundation of St.Peter’s College.

St. Peter’s has enjoyed a long partnership with ‘Kotmale’ as a Gold sponsor of all age groups at the institution. It is a partnership that has been mutually beneficial over the years. Peterite Rugby has been strengthened even further with Trip A Deal, 3PL & EFL coming in as silver sponsors and TDM international as the principal sponsor.
Ishan Fernando will be entrusted with leading the Bamba Brigade with the veteran Coach Sanath Martis, who is one of the best Coaches in the schools set up, and will continue to mould the Peterite talent for yet another year. He will be ably assisted by old Peterite Rajeew Perera, who will be the Assistant Coach of the outfit.
