Sri Lankan leg spinning all-rounder Seekkuge Prasanna has been roped in by franchise team Chitwan Tigers for the upcoming season of Everest Premier League held in Nepal.
36-year-old Prasanna has been a regular feature in several overseas T20 franchise leagues where he has represented franchise teams in Caribbean Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League, Pakistan Super League etc.

“Seekkuge (Prasanna) is a player with enormous quality. His bowling & batting, both can change the course of a match. A must have match-winner in any side. His experience all around the world will further strengthen Chitwan Tigers’ case for the trophy. He will be a value addition to our side. Looking forward to enjoy him trading skills in Nepal’s premier sports event EPL,” Kishor Bhattarai the owner of Chitwan Tigers said.
An accurate leg spinner and a useful late-order hitter Prasanna who has represented Sri Lanka in 1 Test, 40 ODIs and 20 T20Is will be a valuable addition to Chitwan Tigers team.

Prasanna is the second Sri Lankan to sign up for this year’s Everest Premier League after wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Chandimal was roped in by Bhairahawa Gladiators two weeks ago.
Everest Premier League 2021 set to commence on 25th September and will be played until 09th October.
