Sri Lankan players allowed to begin training following negative PCR results

The Sri Lankan cricket team announced for the India series will begin training tomorrow (12th July) as the entire squad tested negative for Covid-19 following the PCR tests conducted today (11th July).

It is reported that following the negative PCR results, the Sri Lanka Cricket team will start their Gym sessions today (11th July) while the team’s training on the ground will commence tomorrow. 

However, the players will have to begin their training sessions without the coaching staff as the members of the coaching staff have been identified as first contacts of batting coach Grant Flower, and thus will be undergone quarantine until 14th July.

The 3-match ODI series between the two sides will commence on the 18th July at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
