Former Sri Lanka Cricket Captains Sanath Jayasuriya, Roshan Mahanama and Hashan Tillakaratne have raised voices of disappointment following the humiliating 3-0 defeat suffered by Sri Lanka at the hands of England.
Sri Lanka went down by 89 runs in the third and final T20I against England last night, losing the 3-match T20I series 3-0.
Following this embarrassing performance, the Sri Lankan cricketers have faced a huge amount of criticism from the public, media and former Sri Lankan cricketers.
Sanath Jayasuriya, Roshan Mahanama and Hashan Tillakaratne expressed their disappointment regarding the current state of cricket in Sri Lanka on their Twitter accounts and urged the authorities to take necessary measures to save the sport.
I don’t think there is a huge difference between the players from them and now… it comes down to the attitude of the players. It’s quite sad when they do not show pride in doing something for your country. https://t.co/7ka9HbJGyN

Last night game was very heartbreaking to watch. However, no point blaming the players, coaching staff and the management. We need to focus on technical side of cricket rather than the tactical side. Hands on coaching is very much needed at the moment. #ENGvSL 🏏🇱🇰
