100m sprint sensation Yupun Abeykoon has made his way into the worlds’ top 50 list with his last performance in the States, which brings him closer to the Olympic start list.
Abyekoon has been showing tremendous effort on foreign land, edging closer to his Olympic dream and has sneaked his way into the first 50 rankings of the World. The qualification standard for the Tokyo Olympics is set at 10.05sec or the first 56 rankings on the World Athletics list.
With 39 athletes already sealing their fate in this years’ Tokyo Olympics by hitting the 10.05, Abeykoon has managed to still be in the running with 1203 points in total and within the top 50.
