06 more encounters of the SLC Major Club Limited Overs Tournament 2020/21 were worked off today at different venues across the island.
Badureliya CC defeated Kandy Customs SC by 91 runs today and secured the top spot of Group A with 4 wins out of 5 matches played so far. National capped Milinda Siriwardana led the charge with the bat, scoring a magnificent century for Badureliya.

Meanwhile, Army Cricket Club managed to overtake CCC and grabbed the second place of Group A today as they defeated Air Force SC by 8 wickets at Panagoda. The young mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana was instrumental in guiding the soldiers to the victory, taking 4 wickets for 40 runs.
SSC continued their domination in Group D, retaining their top spot with another win over Saracens SC. The all-rounder Lakshitha Manasinghe showed his skills by scoring a match winning half-century while picking up two important scalps with the ball for SSC.

In the other encounters worked off today, Moors SC and BRC secured huge victories over Police SC and Bloomfield C&AC respectively. The Skipper Mahela Udawatte stroked an impressive half-century with the bat, which was followed by an excellent spell of bowling by Sachithra Serasinghe who picked up 5 wickets for 24 runs.
In BRC’s win, it was skipper Dushan Hemantha who outperformed the rest, scoring a blistering knock of 100 runs off 73 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. BRC could clinch a massive 190-run victory thanks to the brilliant spell with the ball from Umeshka Morais who registered the best bowling figures of the day taking 7 wickets for 46 runs.
