One of the five franchises of Lanka Premier League (LPL); the Kandy Tuskers have appointed former Sri Lanka national caps Nuwan Kulasekara, Farveez Maharoof, and Lanka de Silva to their management and coaching staffs, Thepapare.com learns.

Former no.1 ODI pacer Kulasekara has been appointed as the bowling coach of the franchise while former wicket-keeper and batsman De Silva will take up the role of fielding coach in the Kandy Tuskers staff headed by Hashan Tillakaratne.
Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Farveez Maharoof who held the Team manager’s role of the Sri Lanka U19 team for the last Youth World Cup has been appointed as Team Manager and Cricket Director of the Kandy Tuskers.

Last week, the franchise owners of the Tuskers were confirmed as ‘Sohail Khan International LLP’; a company owned by reputed Indian actor Salman Khan’s younger brother Sohail Khan and his father, noted script-writer Salim Khan.

The Tuskers squad includes local and international stars like Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, and T20 ‘Bradman’ Chris Gayle, who just completed 1000 sixes in T20 cricket during the ongoing IPL. Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan will also be part of the Tusker’s squad.
