Suwath Mendis and Malindu Maduranga wrecked Kandy Customs CC as CCC recorded a 7-wicket victory in the SLC Major Club Youth (U23) Tournament 2020/21 today, 28th September at CCC grounds.

After winning the toss, CCC sent the visitors in to bat first. After losing opener Sasith Priyalal caught at deep midwicket with the 3rd delivery of the game, Kandy Customs CC kept crumbling with no resistance. Rashmika Madushanka top-scored for the Kandy team with 41 runs to his name while only two others managed to get to double figures.
Former Prince of Wales skipper, Suwath Mendis was the star with the ball picking up 4 wickets for 37 runs.

It was a walk in the park for the CCC batsmen at their home venue as they chased down the total with 33.2 overs to go. The right-hander Malindu Maduranga was in a rush to end procedures as the hard-hitting opener struck 7 sixers in his innings of 73 runs in 45 deliveries.
