On day two of the Army-Saracens game at Katunayake, Chandimal staged this knock of brilliance to end the season on a high for Army SC. The Soldier-boots have really brought fortune for the right-hander as he had just started his stint at SL Army Sports club following a rough patch in the international scene. He had found his form well this season as he scored 2 hundreds prior to this knock.

This humungous knock from Chandimal will be written in the books as the highest individual score in domestic cricket in Sri Lanka. This is also just the second-highest first-class score by a Sri Lankan just behind Mahela Jayawardena’s 374 runs in Test cricket.

Chandimal took 391 deliveries to achieve the feet, hitting 33 boundaries and 9 sixes on the and remained unbeaten. He also became the second batsman to score over 1000 runs this season.

SL Army SC ended their innings on 642 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and declared the innings.

The senior duo at the Chilaw Marians CC camp, Oshada Fernando and Shehan Jayasuriya found some form in their game against CCC. Skipper Oshada scored a valuable 85 runs at the top while Shehan Jayasuriya wrote a hundred to his name.

After conceding 458 runs for the first innings, Colts CC collapsed pretty badly in the reply to NCC. Only the star of the outfit, Angelo Mathews managed a decent knock of 52 runs while they were shot out for just 222 runs.

Following a stellar knock of 151 runs in the last game, Chaturanga de Silva proved his worth with the ball picking up 5 for 56 including the wicket of Angelo Mathews.

The new kid in the block, Ashian Daniel joined the party as he picked up 3 quick wickets to leave Colts CC hanging on the verge of defeat.

In the Ragama CC-BRC match, Udara Jayasundera who remained unbeaten on 154 runs yesterday, only managed to add 4 more runs to his name this morning.

BRC are off to a decent start with opener Nisal Fransisco departing for 50 runs and Shanuka Dulaj remaining at the crease with 59 runs.
