The third round of Super-Eight and Plate championship matches of the SLC Premier League Tier-A tournament was held today with the championship title on the line. As usual the top performers of the season so far, Lahiru Udara and Asitha Fernando stole the show with a century and a 5-fer.

In the crucial fixture between NCC and CCC which will have the bearings of the Championship title, Lahiru Udara stroked a brilliant century to keep the hopes of the NCC alive. The highest run-scorer of the tournament; Udara made his 4th consecutive 90+ score today as he reaches close to 1000-mark in the season. (973 runs at 88.45)

The superstar seamer of the club arena, Asitha Fernando recorded another 5-fer today as Chilaw Marians took the honors of the first day in the contest against Colts CC. His scalps included former Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews who was dismissed for 0. Chilaw Marians were 53 for no loss at the stumps chasing the first innings target of 302.
