The Zam Zam Zacky squad from Borella, marked the beginning of a new decade of Rugby, by way of a jersey presentation ceremony, held at the College premises last evening.
After quite ordinary performances in the previous years, Wesley College Colombo will aim to finish the Dialog Schools Rugby League 2020 at the top. Several dignitaries, parents and students were present at the event, where the players were handed over their match jerseys together with a kit bag.
Addressing the gathering, Wesley College Skipper Samuel Ogbebor thanked and acknowledged all those who helped him and his team throughout and concluded saying “To my boys! Vidyartha game is two days away, all our hard work and sacrifices throughout the last five months has to pay off, so don’t let Friday (Match day) go to waste. Give it your everything! I don’t know about you all, but I am shaking while I speak, I just want to play Vidyartha right now!”
CDB, Date Crown, Deedat and Metropolitan will be the official sponsors for Wesley Rugby 2020. The Wesleyites took every opportunity to thank and shower their gratitude towards their sponsors, while they also took time to acknowledge the overall event sponsors, Dialog Axiata PLC.
